  1. How did you choose your blog name?

My blog’s name is Leila’s Passport. I definitely wanted to have my name in my blog just to make it more personal. And Passport because I actually have triple nationality so I have a lot of passport that I can use 🙂

  1. What’s one thing you find difficult in regards to blogging?

I started my blog 6 months ago and I realized that it is a lot of planning. Posting the pictures and writing the articles takes a lot more time than what I thought. Also, as a new blogger I’m looking for sponsorship and that is definitely very difficult.

  1. For a first time traveler, what destination would you suggest they go to and why?

I will say Europe. As a first time traveler you might be scared of adventure and most of the European countries have great tourism system and very easy accessible transportation system that makes travelling a lot smoother. And maybe go somewhere you speak the language so you are not completely scared if you get lost.

  1. What’s one thing you’d tell yourself when you first started to explore our planet?

As long as I remember I’ve been travelling but when I start to actually explore and not only travel and I was WOW . I had no idea we had all these amazing places on earth.

  1. How do you prefer to travel and why? Plane? Train? Automobile?

Plane . I live in Los Angeles so to go anywhere I need a plane. But to travel between cities in Europe for example train is a good idea. No Automobile since I get car sick.

  1. What’s the weirdest thing you’ve ever eaten while travelling?

I ate Turtle Soup in New Orleans. Not my favorite

  1. What has been your most nerve-wracking trip to date?

I’m very organized because I don’t want to have any nerve-wracking moment. I recently went to Colombia and not that it was nerve-wracking but I didn’t know anybody that went there and I didn’t know what to expect at all.

  1. Have you ever traveled solo? If yes, tell me about it! If no, why not? Are you thinking about doing so in the future?

No I never traveled solo but I’m thinking about it more and more. I’m scared I will be bored if I travel solo since I’m a shy person. I really want to come out of my comfort zone so that’s actually one of my 2016 resolution – do a solo trip

  1. Name three things you’ve learned from travelling.

I learnt about the people I traveled with and that it the best way of really knowing somebody

I realized that it is the best way to learn. The best way , not boring way to learn about different countries, culture and their history.

I learnt to be less shy and go towards people and not be scared.

  1. Have you made any resolutions for 2016? Despite yes or no, what’s one thing you’ll promise to do this year?

As mentioned previously, I want to do a solo trip. It doesn’t have to be somewhere far but I want to experience and push myself to meet new people. I also want to post more about my travels and develop my blog.

  1. Where do you see yourself in a year?

I hope I will have a lot more travelling experiences under my belt and accomplished my 2016 resolution.

Thank you again Lindsay and it’s my turn now. I’m nominated Shanley Spence –

Here are my 11 questions for my nominee:

  1. What’s the most obscure thing you’ve seen abroad?
  2. Why do you travel?
  3. What is one international food dish you love to make or want to learn to make?
  4. Tell us about one of your BEST travel days.
  5. What can ruin a great travel experience?
  6. What was one of the most unusual experiences you’ve encountered?
  7. Where’s your hometown and what’s the best thing about it?
  8. What is one of the best travel lessons you’ve learnt so far?
  9. What was one of the most unusual experiences you’ve encountered?
  10. Why did you start blogging?
  11. What’s your next travel destination?
  12. What is your favorite quote?

I cannot wait to see your answers and see you pass on the award to other new bloggers.
