The Best Baguette Los Angeles Competition organized by French Morning, distinguish each year the best Baguette baker of Los Angeles. With more and more French pastries and bakers, the competition is becoming more and more fierce. The Grand Prize winner, Bouchon Bakery this year, has the honor to serve baguettes at the Sofitel Hotel Beverly Hills. Pitchoun Bakery & Café won the Vote Online Prize, Larder Baking Company the Fan Prize and Bread Lounge the best Specialty Bread Prize.

Figaro Cafe :
When I moved here from Paris I was homesick and Figaro Café in Los Feliz was the first French cafe that I found. I was there once a week fulfilling my craving for the famous Jambon Beurre baguette sandwich.
Pitchoun Bakery and Cafe:
It is the latest French pastry and bakery that opened in DTLA at Pershing Square. Their baguette is amazing and perfect match with wine during their happy hour.
The Bakery is on the ground floor of their restaurant in Beverly Hills. Bouchon with its chef Francois Higel won the best baguette Los Angeles Prize this year.
They were presents on the finalist list some bakeries that work with restaurants and stores in Los Angeles like Boulangerie de Paris. That was my first time trying their bread and I loved it… So very crispy.
My favorite pastries were from Frogs Organic Bakery and its chef Jean Luc Labat that supplies many great restaurants. Their croissant aux amendes and Chouquettes taste exactly like the ones in Paris.
It feels great to see so many great French bakers and bakeries in Los Angeles. Thank you French Morning for the great event full of baguette and cheese and wine. Congrats to all the bakers for the nomination.
